Grand Renovation is a general contracting firm offering exceptional quality construction service.
We have been recognized in the New York Times for our renovation work on historic rowhouses. Additionally, we are skilled in the upgrading of modern structures. We coordinate with architectural and engineering firms to provide our clients with a seamless construction project. Company ProfileGrand Renovation, Inc. is a family owned and run company. This is one of the strengths of our company that will work for you. When you call Grand Renovation, you will be speaking to an owner. John Buchbinder founded Grand Renovation 22 years ago because of his interest in brownstone architecture in particular and construction in general. John has a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt and a BA from Vassar in History, each of which helps to inform his understanding of architectural history and generate creative responses to unusual construction and aesthetic problems. The Landmarks Conservancy invited Grand Renovation to become a member of their Professional Circle because of John's commitment to and understanding of New York's architectural heritage. Brian Buchbinder has been my partner in Grand Renovation for the last 13 years. His undergraduate degree in History from Columbia, and his Law degree from NYU have helped to focus the mission and dedication of Grand Renovation to outstanding service and quality. Over the years, Grand Renovation has worked on a wide array of construction projects, from small renovations to full-scale remodeling. Building in New York City raises special issues that require specialized responses. There are many tactical and logistical problems of working in this environment that require a level of expertise and sensitivity that come only with experience. Call on us to put that experience to work for you. An extensive list of references will be provided upon request.
